Mr. Virostek brings 25 years of industry experience to his new endeavor, Checkpoint Capital.
He began his career in 1994 at the Baker Group and served as a managing director at Stifel Financial Corp., Cantor Fitzgerald, and Brean Capital before launching Checkpoint Capital.
Wanda K. Stevens | Director of business Development
Wanda Stevens is a seasoned professional with 45+ years’ experience in the financial industry. In December 2020 she retired from the Texas Bankers Association after a fourteen-year stint where she served as President of TBA’s subsidiary, TBA Services Company, Inc.
Stevens’ extensive background in the financial industry includes 14+ years in community banking where she held various positions in the areas of commercial and construction lending. She spent several years in the life and health insurance industry where she managed acquisitions of insolvent blocks of business at the Texas Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. She remained in the insurance industry from there where she led large software projects with various carriers within the life and health insurance industry. Before joining TBA in 2006 she held her Texas mortgage brokerage license and served clients throughout Central Texas for many years.
